  The service was genuine and you feel appreciated as a customer. The restaurant is situated in what is surely a century home and those who appreciate architecture will love just stepping in the front door.
  
  I did takeout. Items are cooked fresh to so don't be in a rush.
  
  The food was good but I was surprised at the $16 total for cashew stirfry, after adding a side of rice (at extra cost) which was of course really required to make it a meal - it really felt it should have been included instead of being a $2 add-on, and $14 total would have been a little more palatable for (an albeit quality) takeout lunch.

  The owners are great friendly and happy to please. Comfortable atmosphere that could use a little up dating but comfortable none the less. Most of the food on the menu is very good but the dessert selections are lacking. But all in all I will continue to eat at the rooster.
